Bye, bye, naptime!

Chely just stopped taking daytime naps, so she gets sleepier MUCH earlier. Here she is trying valiantly to finish her supper on the first day she didn't nap:






Needless to say, we've adjusted suppertime accordingly!

I share with you the following sentiment for Earth Day from Chely, whose K'iche' Mayan name B'ixalja' means "song of water"....


Chely was using quite a bit of water to wash her hands.

Edwin: "Xaqt katix ri ja' (Don't waste the water)."

Chely: "Oh yeah, because then there is no river, then there is no corn."
